Hobbies & Interests:  Connie is an avid runner and has completed more than 5 marathons. 
She is the Executive Director of the Miss City of Orange Scholarship Pageant.
 
Personal:  Ms. Benson was born in Seaside, Oregon in 1971.  She received her undergraduate
degree with a double major in Legal Studies and Communications/Dance from Chapman University in Orange,
California, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  At Chapman University, she was a member of the Honor’s Program,
the Dean’s List, was President of Delta Gamma Sorority and the University’s Commissioner of Justice. 
Upon graduation in 1993, she was named Chapman University Outstanding Senior Woman.
 
Ms. Benson graduated from California Western School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1996. 
In her final year of law school, Connie was a Certified Legal Intern with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office. 
In that capacity, she worked with the Domestic Violence and Appellate Divisions, appearing in court to argue in
opposition to motions brought by detainees against the State of California.

After being admitted to the bar, Connie practiced briefly in the area of family law.  Since then, she has focused on
civil litigation with an emphasis in premises liability, auto, construction site and trucking accident litigation. 
Connie has significant trial experience and has also arbitrated and mediated a large number of cases.
