Since founding Long Williamson & Delis with Jack
Williamson, Pat has successfully handled thousands
of cases, achieving superior results through a
combination of hard work and good communication with
clients and opponents. Just as importantly, his
skills as a problem-solver focus on bringing matters
to a prompt conclusion while vigorously protecting
the interests of his clients.
He is a past president of the Association of
Southern California Defense Council, the largest
local defense organization in the country, and is in
his 18th year on its board of directors. For the
last 6 years, he has served as Editor In Chief of
its nationally-known magazine, Verdict. Pat is a
past president of the California Defense Council,
the voice of California defense attorneys in the
State legislature.
Pat sat on DRI's board of directors for three years as
Regional Director for the Pacific Region (California,
Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii), and thereafter was elected to
serve a two year term as Secretary-Treasurer. In
October 2003 Pat was elected as DRI's 2nd Vice President, and will
serve as President in 2006-2007. DRI, the Voice of the
Defense Bar, includes 22,000 defense attorneys, insurance
representatives and business people across the nation and
around the world.
At the International Association of Defense Counsel
Trial Academy at the University of Colorado, Pat
taught young lawyers trial skills, and he has
lectured at the Legal Institute of the University of
California at Irvine.
Pat serves as Judge Pro Tem for both the Los Angeles
